How can you get very far,
If you don’t know Who You Are?
How can you do what you ought,
If you don’t know What You’ve Got?
And if you don’t know Which To Do
Of all the things in front of you,
Then what you’ll have when you are through
Is just a mess without a clue
Of all the best that can come true
If you know What and Which and Who.
Benjamin Hoff, The Tao of Pooh (p.58)
Thank you GaHLearner for nominating me. I am happy to undertake this challenge. GahLearner is a creative writer and avid learner. Please do check out her blog Flights of Fancy where she writes regularly, especially participating in the Friday Fictioneers group. Her posts are always interesting and inspirational. She often includes photos, music and videos which were her inspirations. I always learn something from her posts. Thank you so much for the nomination, GaH!
These are the rules for this challenge:
- Thank the person who nominated you.
- Post one fresh quotation on three consecutive days.
- On each of the three days, nominate three folk who have not yet taken part to continue the challenge.
As with many challenges, the rules can be bent a little, if need be, to fit in with people’s blogging schedules. If time is a contraint post all 3 in one day or post them over three weeks rather than three days. It’s really down to whatever suits you.
Today’s quote comes from one of my favorite books. It explains the principles of Taoism using the characters of A.A. Milne’s classic stories about Winnie the Pooh.
