Foodie Friday: Crostata

Thanks to a post at From the Bartolini Kitchens I tried making this:

It wasn’t pretty, but it tasted so good. I did make my own jams. Don’t know how I pulled that one off. I combined persimmon and grape. I took a shortcut by using Bob’s Red Mills Shortbread Mix. Be sure to check out the blog fromthebartolinikitchens.com for great inspiration.

  1. I bet it did taste good (jam and shortbread… yum!) When I have something that doesn’t look appetizing, we eat by candlelight for atmosphere (everything looks better in near darkness 🙂 The kids think it’s fun, too.
