Poem a Day 2014: days 26 & 27

Auntie winter is knitting
A white winter coverlet
Covering the ground
All around, blanketing
Everything with a hoary frost
Her ball of wintry wool unravelling
Slowly as she knits stitch after stitch
Adding on row by row to the coldness
Will her gnarly fingers ever tire
Put the blanket in storage, my feet are itching to get out
Of these heavy boots, put down your needles now
Time for the flowers to bloom
This cannot be

Day 26

I need some help here
I yell to my family
It falls on deaf ears
