Poem 18/30

I dug up some dirt today

I plunged the shovel

Into the earth

Turning up the soil

Churning up the worms

She said that she heard

That she told her

I turned the soil over

And let it crumble

Down the hill

I dug up some dirt today

napo2013button1 prompted us to write a poem that begins and ends with the same line. I thought of this as I was actually digging up some dirt on the hill in my front yard.
